Many people could use a miracle cure-all these days, especially those of us who suffer from chronic pain, anxiety and/or cancer-related symptoms. So, it's no surprise that we're seeing a lot of searches for CBD oil. Can we, however, rely on CBD oil to provide the relief we need for our symptoms? Why CBD oil may not be as helpful as explained in this article.

What is CBD?

The cannabis Sativa plant contains more than 100 different chemical components, one of which is CBD or cannabidiol. When you take a hit of marijuana, you get a blissful high thanks to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).

CBD oil is just a topical product containing CBD extract and an oil, such as coconut oil. You won't get high because it's derived from hemp, a form of cannabis with a low THC content. Tere are also vegan friendly products, you just need to carefully read the label before checking out.

Since the 2018 Farm Bill went into effect, the manufacture and sale of CBD products in the United States have been permitted on a federal level as long as they contain less than .3 percent THC. Some state laws, on the other hand, make it unlawful.

Benefits of CBD:

Purified CBD appears to have a variety of health benefits. Because of the function it plays in the development of our brain and neurological system, the endocannabinoid system must be taken into account in order to fully appreciate these advantages.

In addition to pain, movement, memory, appetite and inflammation, this system helps regulate a wide range of processes. We can learn more about how CBD affects various illnesses and disorders if we focus our research on these specific areas.
  1. Supports the treatment of neurological illnesses
A number of seizure disorders, including Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and  Duvet syndrome, have been approved for treatment with Epidiolex by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to a number of studies, anti-epileptic drug refractory patients may benefit from CBD.

  2. It may help relieve pain
CBD may be able to alleviate pain caused by inflammation, arthritis, and nerve damage by interacting with neurotransmitters in the central nervous system (peripheral neuropathy). IN A FOUR-WEEK EXPERIMENT, topical CBD oil reduced acute, stabbing pain in persons with lower-body nerve injury.

  3. It may alleviate anxiety and depression
As a result of anxiety and mood disorders such as depression or post-traumatic stress disorder, you may experience physical and emotional stress, which may lead to various underlying diseases such as high blood pressure, chronic pain, and heart disease. The complete range of effects that CBD may have on anxiety and depression is still being explored.

Specific studies have shown a range of good outcomes in their respective fields of study. After 90 minutes of oral CBD administration or placebo administration, researchers tested whether or not 300 mg of CBD significantly lowered the subjects' levels of public speaking anxiety during the study's final event.

  4. It may help with cancer symptoms
Chemotherapy-induced nausea, vomiting, and weight loss may be helped by cannabidiol (CBD). The Food and Drug Administration has approved three cannabis-related medications to assist reduce these symptoms and stimulate the appetite for patients with AIDS. THC or synthetic THC is present in all of these medications; therefore, they aren't solely made up of CBD

CBD may help shrink tumors and slow the spread of malignant cells in a variety of cancers, including skin, breast, and prostate. There is still a long way to go in understanding the full potential of CBD for cancer treatment.
