Take a Rewarding Mid or Post Career Break

Founded in 1980, The Center for Interim Programs is the first and longest-running independent gap-year counseling organization in the United States. Taking extended time off mid and post career is common practice in Europe where the Times of London reports that over 200,000 older UK adults are already off on mid- and post-career gap years.

This trend is growing in the United States where taking a career break or finding fulfilling "gap year" activities upon retirement can range anywhere from one week to a year or more. The programs expand horizons with activities that inspire and motivate in the Arts, Cultural Studies, Social Service Work, Animals & Conservation, Vocational Skill Building, and even Career Internships. A sample of the variety of experiences offered can be seen on the Sample Programs page on their website at www.interimprograms.com/MidAndPostCareer/SamplePrograms/MakingChoices.asp
