Watch Your Sugar

Consuming sugar does not cause diabetes; however if you have diabetes you must carefully monitor your sugar intake as well as carbohydrates to keep your blood sugar levels within accepted guidelines.

Although sugar does not cause diabetes excessive calorie intake causes you to become overweight and this is one of the main risk factors of Type 2 diabetes in older people.
