Diane B. Burman, Co-Founder and Co-Director of the RetireRight Center. Ms. Burman is currently Co-Director of the RetireRight Center, a full-service career and retirement consulting firm. In establishing the RetireRight Center, Ms. Burman transitioned from her role as an independent human resources consultant and Principal of Dee Burman and Associates, a management consulting firm, specializing in career management and organization development.
Previous to building her own consulting firm, Burman enjoyed a 15-year career as a Vice President in Human Resources at the Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago where she created and managed the “Development Center,” providing career services to all employees of the Bankcorp, including career planning, career counseling and redeployment. Her primary focus was on the Bank’s career development system and organizational consulting. Ms. Burman was also founder and first President of the Organization Development Network of Chicago. Before her career with the Harris Bank, she was an O.D. (Organization Development) and Human Resource Specialist with Abbott Laboratories and G.D. Searle.
Burman holds a Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and a Master’s Degree from Middlebury College Graduate School of French in France. She is certified as a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator facilitator. Burman is a member of the Association of Career Professionals International, the Organization Development Network and is listed in Who’s Who of American Women. Donald C. Strauss, Career and Change Management consultant. Mr. Strauss has worked in the Human Resources and Organization Development/Change Management fields in Fortune 100 companies for over 40 years. His wide-ranging responsibilities have included executive oversight of Succession Planning, Management and Leadership Development, High Potential Development, and Training and Development as a Director with Matsushita (Panasonic Co. of America), and FMC Corporation.
Throughout these various assignments, one constant has remained…Mr. Strauss’s continuous concern for and counsel to individuals in career transition whether from one assignment to another, from one organization to another, or transition into retirement. Additionally, he was associated with the Carlyle Group, Ltd., a consulting firm as a VP and consultant and currently is a Co-Director and career consultant with the RetireRight Center in Chicago.
Mr. Strauss teaches graduate school programs at Benedictine University related to Human Resources and career transition. He is a certified career coach through the Retirement Options organization. He recently co-authored the book: Customize…don’t minimize...Your Retirement: 7 Paths to Explore Possibilities, Choices and Your Future Happiness © 2009. He has a graduate degree in Labor/Industrial Relations from University of Illinois and a Bachelor’s Degree from NYU. Mr. Strauss has recently been inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, the international Business and Management Honor Society. |
