RetiredBrains.com went up on the Net in July of 2003. At the outset it was primarily a site that connected older workers with employers interested in hiring them. With this focus there was not a great deal of return visitors. To increase return visits a great deal of content was added and within a short period of time page views increased to just under 5 per visit and return traffic moved up to almost 50%.
Today, RetiredBrains is the premier destination for retirees, people planning their retirement and Americans caring for or having responsibility for older family members.
Content in every area of interest to these groups is included and updated regularly. Links to sites that provide more in depth information are provided in each area and new areas are added, like H1N1 information, that meets current needs.
The site was founded by Art Koff, a senior in his 70’s, who provides the perspective older Americans are seeking. The functionality is clear and straightforward and set up to provide information as its primary purpose. Art continues to monitor RetiredBrains and contribute content regularly.
Art continues to be seen as an authority on the topic of retirement and a resource continually called upon by many of the leading publications of today (Retired Brains in the News). Art has also written "Invent Your Retirement" the resource guide to help anyone preparing for retirement. |
